Raon Solution Co., Ltd.(CEO Cho, Hwa-ju), a middle-sized enterprise located in the Gumi National industrial Complex, releases ‘Ara’, a dongle-based remote controller to be mounted on a smart phone.
The company official said the smart remote could be completed with the support of the cluster project by the Daegyeong Area Headquarter(Head officer Park, Chan-deuk) of the Korea Industrial Complex Corp and added the firm obtained a patent on a smart remote controller based on an earpiece jack.
The existing smart remotes were too expensive for many consumers and especially the dongle-based ones used to be operable only with smart phones. On the contrary, Ara remote controller can work with both Android and IOS-based devices while, at the same time, with TV sets, settop boxes, air conditioners, digital cameras, etc.. in main brand names home and abroad. Ara also can be expanded to remotely control karaoke, projector, etc., earning a suggestion to pursue a joint business from a remote controller-specialized company amid increasing attention from many.
Ara remote, to maximize user-oriented convenience, has realized △ automated selection of preferred channels △ automated selection of preferred broadcast based on position location △ Easy Drag function △ user-set macro function and △ real-time alert. The product has a database of diverse nationwide cable broadcasting channels so that the channels are automatically shown regardless of regional change in the country, saving additional device manipulation by users to watch preferred TV channels.
Enterprises can use Ara to send their product advertisement (in forms of message, pop-up, and skin). Sending advertisement is simply and easy through a smart phone application and website. Applications will be developed exclusively IPTV, cable broadcasting carriers and other pay-TV operators to diversify business areas. Ara remote application is available in Apple Appstore and Android market free of charge. Ara controller device will become available through a network in connection with shopping malls.
CEO Jo, Hwa-ju, of Raon Solution said “Diverse patents could be obtained on the smart remote controller with the aid of the cluster support project of the Korea Industrial Complex Corp and the product became available on the market in April thanks to the customized marketing consulting by the enterprise advice center.” He added that “Ara was like a small accessory that was affordable and easy to connect to a mobile phone coming in simple design and various colors, receiving a rush of orders for an event souvenir or company promotional gift.”
